→ Treat all members of the community with courtesy, dignity, and respect—even if you disagree with their opinions. Refrain from being rude or insulting to others and be polite and respectful in all your communications. Any forms of hate speech, harassment, or intimidation will not be tolerated.
→ Refrain from swearing in forums and text channels. We understand that we’re all human, so if you need to swear, make use of symbols such as “#$%&!” Avoid excessive swearing and vulgar language in all channels and be respectful of any requests by others to limit swearing entirely.
→ Respect Moderators and Administrators and the decisions they make. If you believe you have been unfairly treated in moderation, please reach out to us via email or by direct message on Discord. Moderators may at any time and for any reason delete or edit posts or even remove users from channels.
→ Do not spam! Refrain from posting image memes outside of appropriate channels and do not rapidly post multiple images in a short period of time. Do not promote products or services.
→ If a forum or channel has specific topics, please ensure all posts are on those topics.
→ When using voice channels or streaming video ensure that your background noise is negligible. Please do not share your music with others in the channel, and avoid loud, startling noises, “gotchas!”, and repeatedly changing channels. Do not use “soundboards”.
The following content is explicitly prohibited within our community:
→ Content which is illegal by law or distributed in violation of copyright.
→ Keyloggers and phishing websites, applications, bots, or scripts.
→ Activities which are illegal by law.
→ Real world religious or political content.
→ Pornography in any form.
→ Hateful language regarding race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, country, political beliefs, or any other aspect of identity.
→ Personal information which identifies anyone, including but not limited to: real names, ages, addresses, email addresses, passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, or other similar pieces of information.
→ Advertising, promoting, and soliciting products or services.
→ Referral links for contests, raffles, or prizes.
→ Referral links to content unrelated to TTRPGs or Wildewitch RP.
→ Links or references to any website which creates or makes available content which is otherwise prohibited.
→ We issue warnings when users break our rules. While not all violations are equal, generally we will follow a standard of allowing up to two warnings for rules violations made within a three month period. Upon a third violation within a three month period, a player will then be suspended from our community for a duration to be determined based on the severity of the violations. We also reserve the right to issue suspensions without warnings depending on the severity of any particular rules violation.
→ Due to the prevalence of excessive spam and solicitation activity, we will immediately ban users who engage in rules violations either soon after joining or who do so without any other sincere engagement with us or the community. No warnings will be issued in such circumstances.
→ If you receive a warning, suspension, or ban and feel that it was erroneous or unfair, please reach out to us via email or direct message on Discord, and we will investigate and respond as soon as possible.
→ Sessions are story-focused, and characters are to work together cooperatively to complete adventures.
→ Disagreements must be resolved respectfully.
→ No deliberate player-versus-player (PVP) activity under any circumstances or for any reason.
→ No deliberate descriptions of unwanted contact or interactions between player characters.
→ No disruptive behavior during games. Examples include but are not limited to: off-topic, distracting conversations; interrupting other participants; repeatedly asking the same questions; excessive “sandboxing”, i.e. intentionally avoiding the plot or splitting the party.
→ Avoid swearing more than 1-2 times during a game session and do not use excessively vulgar swears.
→ Do not deliberately impede or thwart roleplay opportunities (e.g. no “murderhobo”, evil, or excessively chaotic characters).
→ During sessions, avoid debating rules with the GM and do not make critical commentary about rulings. Decisions by the GM are final for the current session but may be discussed afterwards in appropriate channels or in direct messages.
→ Do not shame or admonish other players for gaming experience, character choices, roleplay choices, or for any other reason. This includes the use of in-character roleplay or descriptions of “thought bubbles” that demean other players, their characters, or their actions.
→ Do not share spoilers from episodes outside of the appropriate channels or forums marked for spoilers. When discussing potential spoilers outside these venues, make use of spoilers tags. For voice chat, ensure that all participants are agreeable to discussion of spoilers.
→ Do not use meta or plot knowledge to inform your roleplay or character decisions, such as when you are replaying an episode or after you have watched a streamed episode. This includes making allusions to plot twists and pending plot developments.
→ Dice rolls are handled either in our official campaigns on D&D Beyond or with the Avrae dice-bot on the Discord server.
Age limits & live stream:
→ To participate in games, roleplaying sessions, and voice channels, players must be a minimum age of 18.
→ To join the community, persons must be a minimum age of 13.
→ On a limited case by case basis, persons between the ages of 13 and 18 may participate in games, roleplaying sessions, and voice channels alongside a parent or legal guardian who is also participating in the session. We will determine whether we can accommodate such cases individually as they are requested.
→ Purchases of in-game content (e.g. bookings, custom magic items, custom quests, etc.) may not be made by persons under the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction of residence.
→ Before participating in any game sessions, players must agree to abide by our Player Agreement, which includes agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.
→ For streamed games, players must also agree to abide by the Twitch Terms of Service (https://www.twitch.tv/p/en/legal/terms-of-service/).
Players and participants are explicitly prohibited from contributing or portraying any of the following content in any form:
→ Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, discriminatory, or other bigoted views or hate speech.
→ Mentions or implications of rape or other forms of sexual assault.
→ Explicit depictions or descriptions of harm being done to children.
→ Explicit descriptions of sexual acts.
→ Sexually-derived or excessive profanity.
Wildewitch RP gaming sessions are written and edited to approximate an ESRB M/Mature 17+ rating: Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.
Wildewitch RP uses the 'X-card' model for safe play. If at any time you feel unsafe, triggered, or prefer that a topic or scene end, all you need to do is put an 'X' in chat, private message the GM an 'X', or verbally express your concern in a way that you feel comfortable. At that point we will wrap up the current scene and move forward with the story in another way. The GM may privately message you or request to meet briefly in a private chat to ask for clarification and to ensure we are able to avoid any repeat triggering events, but you will never be required to justify your feelings or concerns.
→ Sign-ups are handled on our Discord server.
→ Unless otherwise specified ahead of time, seats for all games are limited to 4 players.
→ Sign-ups are first-come, first-served.
→ All players may play up to three (3) free games during each month.
→ Bookings with Witchpence have priority over free sign-ups, guarantee seats on a first-come, first-served basis, and do not count against the limit on free games.
→ Witchpence bookings that would cause another player who has already signed up to lose a free seat may not be applied after 11:59pm EST the night before the game.
→ Vacated seats always go to the next player who signed up for the game.
→ Unclaimed seats will be posted in the #open-seats channel of our Discord server as start time approaches. These may be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.
→ Each session requires a minimum of two players. If a player books a session with Witchpence and no other players sign up, their Witchpence will be refunded. However, a player wishing to play a full session solo may optionally choose to pay a total of 2 Witchpence to do so.
→ If we cannot find your username on the Discord to tag you for invites, and you don't contact us at least 3 hours before the game starts, then your seat will be forfeited.
→ When we send out the pre-game pings on Discord, if you do not confirm your seat by 15 minutes before the game’s start time, then your seat will be forfeited. If you booked your seat with Witchpence, then you have until 5 minutes before the game’s start time to respond.
→ Forfeited or cancelled Witchpence bookings will always be refunded.
→ Episodes for each session are chosen by the players in the group. If all players are using free games, then they will vote on the episodes of their choice. Votes must be submitted no later than 1 hour before the game’s scheduled start time. If a player does not submit their vote by this time, then they forgo the opportunity to vote. Ties will be decided by a dice roll.
→ The first player to spend a Witchpence to book a seat for a particular session may choose the episode for that session provided they do so by 11:59pm EST the night before the game or before another player spends a Witchpence to book the same session. If they do not do so, the episode will be determined by a group vote as described above.
→ Some pre-booked sessions and episodes may not be suitable for new players due to campaign storylines or particularly challenging mechanics. We reserve the right to decline sign-ups or bookings in these instances on a case by case basis, and we will always handle these circumstances with respect and care for our players’ experiences.
→ When a player would use Witchpence to book or play in a session, that player must have the necessary Witchpence in their accounts before joining the session.
→ All characters start at 1st level.
→ All official species and classes are allowed.
→ Starting stats are determined via point buy or standard array.
→ Use average numbers for hit points gained with each level.
→ Levels are earned through points gained upon completion of gameplay sessions (see Experience).
→ Characters must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
→ The campaign setting is Velanaura, Wildewitch RP’s original campaign setting.
→ Players may create their own origin stories and locations within the world.
→ Characters may worship any deities from any pantheon including players’ own creations.
→ Changes to characters made after 1st level are generally permitted at any time with the following exceptions, which require GM consultation and approval: species, class, gold, magic items, and experience.
→ The only statistic that we track is XP.
→ Gold and magic items may optionally be tracked on a Character Tracker thread in our Discord forums under the Storylines section. Simply create a thread with your character’s name and list any updates you’d like to include.
→ Track your own ammunition and encumbrance (honor system).
→ If your character wishes to purchase or sell items between sessions, you may do so using prices from this list. If an item is not listed that your character would like to purchase, let us know and we can get a price added.
→ No unofficial content, “UA”, 3rd party content, or homebrew* in sign-up games. Some characters that previously received approval on homebrew or 3rd-party content before this rule was implemented may continue to use those specific items and features. Fixed, traditional campaign groups have more relaxed rules on these kinds of content, and those rules will be discussed between the players and the GM depending on the campaign.
*Note: While we love and enthusiastically advocate for homebrew and 3rd party content, we are only two people, and we can’t reasonably examine and approve all the homebrew requested by all of our players. In the past, we have tried to do this, but the inordinate amount of time it takes makes it impossible. As a result, we can’t permit the use of homebrew in our open, sign-up games.
Leveling up in the Mortal Guardians campaign is handled through a point system based on games played. Each session counts as a single point, and the following table indicates how many points are required to advance from each level to the next.

After 20th level, characters gain additional Paragon Levels every 10 games. Each successive Paragon Level grants a special reward of the player’s choice from the following:

“Trade-up” a current magic item for another magic item of one rarity tier higher up to legendary (e.g. trade an uncommon magic item for a rare magic item)
Massive Treasure Hoard: 8d4 x 1000gp + 54,000gp and 8d4 x 1000pp + 20,000pp.
Characters gain magic items and bonus feats from The Mortal Guardians guild as they level up as follows:
→ Beginning at 3rd level, characters gain either a magic item or bonus feat according to the progression listed below.
→ Magic items are selected based on the player's preferences from any magic items available in published official materials or from custom magic items a player commissions us to create (with some restrictions*).
→ Common items, consumables, and limited-use magic items that don’t regain charges may be purchased at-will with gold (e.g. potions, spell scrolls, and magical dusts). See the Magic Item Prices post on our forums for prices. If there is an item your character would like to purchase but it isn’t listed, you can message Lochlainn or Fey on Discord, and we’ll get a gold price for it!

At 20th level, a character would have 3 uncommon magic items, 1 rare magic item, 1 very rare magic item, 1 legendary magic item, and 2 bonus feats. Characters may optionally substitute a magic item for another of lower rarity as they desire.
* Note! We reserve the right to adjust or deny certain items to ensure we don't have any game-breaking, disruptive items in play. We will pursue this carefully and in a way that attempts to ensure you have items you're happy to keep.
Characters may die as a result of actions and consequences during the course of an adventure session, however, no character is permanently killed unless the player desires such an outcome. Our goal is that you get to experience our stories through the character of your choice for as long as you desire. If the character dies, their story does not by any means end. The magic of TTRPGs allows many, many possibilities—resurrection being one of them.
Character deaths during an adventure will be handled on a case by case basis relative to the current story session. At the end of any adventure session, any character who is dead at that time will be resurrected by the Mortal Guardians guild unless they decline resurrection. As a general rule, as long as the character's soul is willing to return, the Mortal Guardians guild needs your help and will do whatever it takes to bring you back—though there may be unusual aftereffects! At Wildewitch RP, we want to focus on the stories and the shared experiences, not artificially strict rules and arbitrarily harsh consequences.
If you no longer wish to play a particular character, you may retire that character and make use of the experience you gained while playing them. Character retirement is handled according to the following rules.
→ The character must be a minimum of 5th level.
→ The character loses all of its experience and reverts to 1st level.
→ The character loses any magic items it gained by leveling up.
→ The character retains any custom or bonus content purchased for it.
→ The character’s gold may be transferred to your other characters in any allotment portions you choose.
→ You may play the character again at a later date, but it begins at 1st level.
→ Half of the character’s experience gained, rounded up, is added to your account’s “Bonus Experience”.
→ You may apply a single point of Bonus Experience toward another of your characters whenever that character gains an experience point either by completing a game session or by spending a Witchpence.
